The Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud

The Kuiper Belt is region where thousands of icy objects orbit the Sun. Some are almost as large as small planets. The Kuiper Belt extends from just beyond the orbit of Neptune out to about 50 AU.

The Oort Cloud is a theoretical cloud of comets orbiting the Sun in all directions. The Oort cloud is believed to extend out to about 60,000 AU.

The simulation OortAndKuiper.gsim simulates objects in the Kuiper Belt and in the Oort Cloud.
